Where have our team been holidaying this year.....

Next up we have Kelly. She has recently been to Fiji on a family holiday and stayed out on Plantation Island Resort in the Mamanucas.
This property books out almost a year in advance these days and after Kelly's experience she knows why! Here are her thoughts and tips...

💜 This is a 3* resort in a 5* location and perfect with families, especially multi-generational groups (lots of different rooms to fit all)
💜 Lots of fun for kids of all ages (even the big kids!)
💜 There is a small supermarket down at Musket Cove so handy when you need to grab something
💜 You need to book the restaurants as they book up fast! But Kelly's favourite meal was the Poke bowls that you could eat on the beach - super yummy!
💜 Take lots of snacks for your kids and pre dinner drinkies!
💜 You can now check in at Denarau Marina before you arrive on the island

Tis the season for New Zealanders to travel abroad (yes, to get away from the cold weather!) and our staff have also been out and about exploring the globe. So, watch this space over the next month or so and maybe you will be inspired by their travels....

Claire has recently returned from a trip to India. She flew into Kolkata, joined an Uniworld River Cruise on the Ganges through to the Golden Triangle (Jaipur, Agra, Delhi). Here are her thoughts and tips for a memorable experience in India.

💜 Uniworld were fantastic to travel with. The ship was beautiful, service was amazing and nothing was a problem. She recommends a French balcony room so you can enjoy time in your room and watch the world go by.
💜 India is truly amazing to visit and a complete assault on your senses, but in a good way! A huge contrast between the "haves" and "have-nots" but regardless everyone was just beautiful and so friendly, always ready with a smile and a wave.
💜 Her favourite hotel was the Oberoi Rajvilas in Jaipur - peacocks roaming around, beautiful grounds and a luxurious pool area. She loved Jaipur for the colourful markets and sights.
💜 The tuk tuk rides were a highlight and she loved being right amongst the busy day to day life of the locals - the smells, sights and noises were incredible.
💜 Best time to travel is from September to March (June was insanely hot!)
💜 Make sure you take a travelling pharmacy with you just in case.... !!

“There were so many highlights, but nothing topped snorkelling and swimming with manta rays and black tip sharks in the coral reef at Bora Bora,” she says.
The water? “Crystal clear - like nothing I’ve ever seen. The blue hues of the ocean really does look just like the photos!” 💙

🛵 Explore Moorea by scooter or car
“While staying in Moorea, we rented a scooter and explored the island at our own pace - discovering hidden beaches, waterfalls, and local food spots.”
💜HOT Tip: Renting a car or scooter is the best way to take in the island’s beauty and find those off-the-beaten-path gems.

🧺 Visit Papeete Market in Tahiti
A must-do on the main island! “The vibrant Papeete Market (Le Marché de Papeete) is perfect for local culture, handcrafted souvenirs, and tasting traditional Tahitian dishes.”

🚤 Boat tour & Coco Beach in Moorea
“A small-group boat tour around Moorea’s lagoon gave us incredible views of the volcanic peaks and the chance to snorkel at submerged tiki statues beneath crystal-clear waters.”

To top it off? “We visited Coco Beach Restaurant on Motu Tiahura - only accessible by boat. Definitely book lunch and the boat shuttle in advance!”

“MJ The Musical – “One of the best shows I’ve been to, an electrifying experience from start to finish!” 🎶 Halie Allan from House of Travel Invercargill experienced this incredible show in Sydney and loved every bit of it!

🔥 “I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time.” The energy in the theatre was next level – being just four rows from the front made it feel like we were part of the action."
