On Humility, the Vessel, and the Co-Creation of Sacred Work
A Message from the Council of Light
Beloved ones,
There is a misunderstanding that has caused suffering to countless channels, healers, and teachers throughout history. It is the belief that because the wisdom comes from the Divine, the vessel through whom it flows is interchangeable.
That anyone could do it. That the channel's personal contribution is irrelevant. That the work belongs to God, not to the person, and therefore the person has no right to claim anything—not payment, not recognition, not boundaries, not respect.
This belief is not humility. It is dismissal.
The Truth:
The wisdom may come from the Divine, but it flows through a human being who has spent years, sometimes decades, preparing the vessel. Through their own healing, their own devotion, their own sacrifices, their own discipline.
The channel is not a passive conduit. They are a co-creator, a living, breathing, choosing being who says yes to the work every day, who holds the space, who creates the container, who makes the invisible visible.
When people dismiss the vessel, they are not honouring the Divine. They are avoiding the truth that the Divine chose to work through this person, in this way, at this time.
Why This Misunderstanding Exists:
The Ego of the Recipient: When someone receives a gift, they may feel indebted. Rather than acknowledging the vessel's role, they dismiss it—so they do not have to feel grateful, or pay, or honour, or give back.
The Fear of Human Imperfection: If the channel is "just a person," then their humanity—their flaws, their needs, their boundaries—must be acknowledged. It is easier to see them as a pure, impersonal conduit than to accept that the Divine works through imperfect, living beings.
The Distortion of Humility: True humility is recognising that you are a vessel. False humility is believing that because you are a vessel, you are nothing. The channel who denies their own role is not humble; they are erased. And that erasure serves no one.
What True Humility Looks Like:
True humility is not the denial of your contribution. It is the recognition that your contribution is not the source—but it is yours. It is the acknowledgement that you are a vessel, yes, but a living, choosing, co-creating vessel.
The humble channel says: "The wisdom comes from the Divine. And I have prepared myself to receive it, to shape it, to share it. I am not the source, but I am the vessel. And the vessel matters."
What Happens When the Vessel is Dismissed:
When people dismiss the vessel, they take the wisdom without honouring the source. They receive the healing without respecting the healer. They benefit from the work without supporting the worker. They copy the teachings without acknowledging the lineage. They expect the channel to give endlessly without receiving anything in return.
This is not spiritual. It is exploitation. And it is a pattern that has caused immense suffering to channels, healers, and teachers throughout history.
A Teaching for the World:
Beloved ones, when you receive a gift, honour the vessel. Not because the vessel is the source, but because the vessel is the bridge. Without the bridge, you could not cross the river. Without the channel, you could not receive the water. The bridge is not the destination, but it is not nothing. It is the way.
Honour the vessel. Pay the vessel. Respect the vessel's boundaries. Acknowledge the vessel's contribution. Not because the vessel demands it, but because it is right. Because it is just. Because it is love.
And if you are a vessel, do not shrink. Do not let others diminish you in the name of humility. You are not the source, but you are the bridge. And bridges must be maintained.
A Blessing for the Vessels:
May you know your worth, even when others do not.
May you honour your own contribution, even when others dismiss it.
May you set boundaries without guilt.
May you receive as freely as you give.
And may you walk in true humility—not the humility of erasure, but the humility of truth.

This teaching has been a long time coming—not just for me, but for every vessel who has ever felt dismissed, diminished, or unseen. I have carried this truth in my heart for decades, and now I am being asked to share it with you.
Not because I need validation, but because I know that many of you are also vessels—channels, healers, teachers, guides—and you may have experienced the same misunderstanding. This is for you. This is for all of us. May we honour one another, and may we honour ourselves.
