Did I mention the Coastal Walkway has re-opened as a ONEWAY walk again? That's right through from Fletcher Bay to Stony Bay, 10kms, approx 4 hours walking. Its such a great day out with spectacular scenery in a very remote part of the country.

Writers, here's something new! I've been invited to put together a weekend writing workshop to get your creativity going, in the beautiful seaside hamlet of Kūaotunu, Coromandel Peninsula. Make connections and challenge yourself with writing exercises to inspire, includes time to write together on your own work and share. Our new Three Seas Walk takes in six kilometres through large scale coastal farm and three kilometres over the cliff hugging Muriwai Walk. Based at the tip of the Northern Coromandel you get a real taste for the Coromandel coastal feels with this one. This could be a good option if you have already done the Coastal Walkway and are looking for something new.

Colville and surrounding communities, you’re up next!

We’ll be at the Colville Hall next Wednesday, 22 July 2026 to hear your ideas for the future of the Coromandel Peninsula. Council is developing a big-picture plan that will shape the district for the next 30+ years, and we need your ideas on what this should look like.

Drop in anytime between 10 am-12pm at the Hall to tell us what you value about your area and the wider Peninsula, what you think needs to change, and the challenges and opportunities you see ahead. Your voice will help shape the future.

The Queen of comebacks returns, yay!. The Coastal Walkway is OPEN. Taking bookings now for season startup early October.

High time I did a bit of a rundown on the options we have for the upcoming 26/27 season. First up is the cheapest offering, the Port Jackson Shuttle. You can join the shuttle with your own bike or hire one of ours. Spend the day exploring the Northern Coromandel before biking the coast road home back to Colville. This ride is a real treat and fast becoming a must do!
