At first, a Taranaki mountain biker who broke his neck wanted nothing more to do with the sport which took away the use of his legs.

But, two years on, the 39-year-old is back in the forests promoting tracks suitable for adaptive mountain bikes.

🌿 Accessible Coromandel adventure idea! ♿💦

Looking for something quirky, fun, and truly Kiwi? The Waterworks on the 309 Road in the Coromandel is a family-friendly spot full of water-powered inventions, gardens, humour, play areas, and beautiful bush surroundings.

Even better, it has been explored by wheelchair users, with flat/light gravel areas, boardwalks, accessible toilets, café space, and plenty of fun along the way.

At Ability Adventures, we love finding places like this so our guests can experience the real New Zealand with confidence.
