Big weekend looking after some lovely people traveling on the southerner train to Dunedin this weekend. My group of 36 opted for the two night package, arrived on Friday and departing this afternoon on the train back to Christchurch. A real highlight of the trip was this morning's visit to Larnach Castle for a high tea and guided tours through the castle with Carol and Jamie. Absolutely fantastic day for it!
The southerner train will do four return trips between Christchurch and Dunedin over the four days. And we look forward to welcoming them back again in October this year.

Big thanks to CVC and Patrick Best (Dunedin Head Systems) for their combined work doing a complete engine reconditioning for my 40 seater coach. This beautiful bus had done over 1 million Kms and was still going strong until earlier this year developed an internal head gasket leak.
Too good to retire we decided to get the entire engine reconditioned, with Patrick Best doing the hard yards machining everything back to good as new - new pistons, crankshaft, new turbo, fuel injection system imported from Germany, it's a long list. These guys have done such a good job I'm sure there's another milllion Kms still to come!
