We have had the worst year of disruptions since 2020
What most people don’t know is that our job doesn’t stop at booking people’s travel. We are continually needing to stamp out fires and trouble shoot ( This is why you use a travel agent so please bear this in mind.)

🛫mother nature chaos
🛬insurance claims for unwell passengers,
🛫complaints to suppliers, if an expectation has not been exceeded
🛫Technical faults causing delays on Airlines
🛫 rescheule of flights

These are just some of the things we need to prioritise sometimes on a daily basis and turn our attention to

Its part of our committment to our clients
It doesn’t matter that it’s the unpaid part of our job we do it with love we do it because it’s part of our service

Issue

Flights cancelled/delayed due to Mt Lewotobi Laki-Laki eruption ash cloud in Indonesia.


Some flights have been cancelled due to ash from the erupting Mt Lewotobi Laki-Laki volcano in eastern Indonesia, with more being delayed this morning. This is the second eruption within the last two months.

Airlines are closely monitoring the situation, and further schedule changes may occur with limited notice.

As we monitor the Middle East situation, we turn our attention to technical faults and weather bombs 🤦‍♀️

Those that are affected on the Jetstar flight to Gold Coast direct from Dunedin unfortunately has been cancelled. We will update our customers accordingly as that Flight turns around back to Dunedin with a technical fault. 🤦‍♀️

Thailand has imposed restrictions on citizens and tourists crossing the Thailand/Cambodia border by land.


Description

We have had reports that Thailand has imposed restrictions on citizens and tourists heading into Cambodia via land. Vehicles and people are prohibited from entering/exiting at the Thai-Cambodian border in multiple provinces, with some exceptions for those with clear necessities and purposes e.g. studying, visiting hospitals and buying goods for a living.

Foreign tourists are also banned from leaving Thailand for gambling in border towns, and those traveling by air to Siem Reap in Cambodia for gambling will also face restrictions.

QATAR SCHEDULES

Qatar has confirmed their airspace has reopened and Qatar Airways has resumed services.

As we anticipate an increase in schedule changes from a number of airlines to accommodate different flight path routings we are diligently checking all our customers flights as it stands currently.

Qatar Airways have released their policy to give customers with upcoming travel via Doha change or cancellation options.

Whilst it is important to provide our customers with the options we respect all individual decision making at this time to allow and urge guidance by official sources such as SafeTravel NZ
