The Fairlie Bakehouse

It was founded in 2010 by chef Franz Lieber, an Austrian‑born baker who brought a fresh approach to New Zealand pies.

The team hand‑fills every pie with quality, often locally sourced, ingredients — embodying their motto “fresh is best.”

The Bakehouse has become a popular stop for travellers on State Highway 8 between Lake Tekapo and Timaru, often with long queues during peak season

After it rains, Milford Sound in New Zealand becomes even more spectacular because numerous temporary waterfalls appear along the cliffs. The high rainfall in the area causes water to cascade down the steep fjord walls, creating hundreds of temporary waterfalls. Some of these waterfalls can be quite large and dramatic, making it an unforgettable sight for visitors. It's a truly magical experience to see these waterfalls in action!
