🚨 MAKINO FLOOD GATES ACTIVATED 🚨

🌧️ The Makino Flood Gates at Reid Line West are now activated, with the Makino Stream being diverted along the spillway to the Kiwitea Stream.

🐄 Stock owners: Please keep stock out of the spillway.

🚧 Pharazyn Road is CLOSED. Please use the diversion route via Makino Road and Brewster Road.

📸 Current conditions can be viewed via the Horizons Regional Council we**am.

This September, we're stepping into spring with our Park Walking Series. Delivered over four Tuesdays, we encourage you to join us as we explore our local parks and walkways in four different locations! Each walk offers a shorter and longer distance. There may be some roads to cross and different terrain, but these walks are beginner-level to cater to most activity levels.
Walk with friends, bring the whānau, or come along on your own and meet other members of the community.

Tuesday, 1st, 4 pm: Timona Park, meeting at soccer club rooms
Tuesday, 8th, 4 pm: Kowhai Park, meeting at duckpond
Tuesday, 15th, 4 pm: Victoria Park, meeting at the squash clubs
