Most visitors drive right past Lake Mapourika without realising what lies beyond the shoreline.

Hidden among the rainforest are narrow creeks that wind through a protected kiwi conservation area within the UNESCO World Heritage wilderness of Westland Tai Poutini National Park. "Love our kayaking experience so much! It was a rainy day but it really made the day even more magical.

Everything was smooth sailing from the check-in process to the activity itself. The tour provides everything, so you basically only need to show up with a curious mind. Ollie, our guide, was wonderful and very knowledgeable, he also took really good pictures of my husband and I, which we really appreciate.

The activity took about 3 hours so it was really worth the price. Can't recommend this enough!"
