Another beautiful morning in the bay. Fishing was slow but you get that on the big jobs. Nice to have conditions good enough to let the kids have a drive of the boat, future skippers in the making 😀.

A much nicer day at sea today! Fishing was better, still inconsistent but we nearly doubled yesterdays fish count. No nice kingi today but plenty of snapper and tarakihi. Thank you so much to Joel and his crew from Uawa Produce. You ladies were a blast!
Kids trip tomorrow morning then the forecast turns for a few days. We have plenty of trips scheduled for next week and the rest of July if you'd like to join us. Check out our trip dates in Events under 'more'.

Very nice to be back on the water after a couple of weeks off. Boats running mint, Mike obviously put all the bits and bobs back together properly 😅.
Conditions weren't as nice as forecast but still fine. The fishing was slow. Some very nice snapper and tarakihi caught though plus a bonus fat kingi. Thanks to Tane and crew for joining us today, we hope you enjoyed your day.

So nice to be out there again after a week of so stuck in dock. Conditions were fair, bit sloppy, but not bad considering the rain and wind overnight. Lots of nice snapper caught and a few fat kahawai. Thank you so much to the crew from Pines Cleaning for joining us today, we hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did.

Another stunning afternoon out in the bay yesterday with another great group of families. Fishing was definitely not easy, the surge and earthquake quite likely had some part in that. Despite it being slow some nice snapper, gurnard and fat kahawai were caught. Have to say considering how beautiful it was in the bay it was quite a shock when we got back to the berth and saw the surging! She was rock and rolling all night in the marina, with a peak of 6 meters at 11pm! Sadly the rest of the week doesn't look flash with the current forecast for the weekend looking shocking. Fingers crossed its all passes through quickly.

Another surge pulse is expected around 11pm. Just a heads up for anyone berthed in the marina, there's a hell of a surge right now. If you haven't already checked your ropes, it might pay to do so. A couple of vessels on our pier have already had ropes snap, we have let the owners know already.
