Tzer Fishing - Gisborne

Last day of the GTSFC Marlin & Tuna Tournament and hooked up on what wouldve been 10 grand winning fish if we couldve made weighin cut off time of 4pm but 8 1/4 hours later before we landed this fish. Hooked up at 12.15 landed 8.45pm. Weighed 225.8kg. Big thanks to Matt & crew on Drifter for staying out and providing assistance.

Who needs to go to Waihau Bay for a SBT when they have to come past Gisborne first.
Managed a nice fish a week ago and followed that up today with a double. B***e Rambo & the D Shackle accounting for both fish today.

The David Brown tractor has been re everythinged! She is looking extra special after her tune up. Please respect the work The Tractor Committee have put into the upgrade of this tractor. After you have used the tractors please put them back in the shed - don't leave it for your mate who you THINK is still out on the water. Any damages must be reported to the Club Office so we can make immediate repairs so all can continue to use the tractors. The worst thing is to arrive at the ramp and find someone has damaged a tractor and not let anyone know so repairs could have been made.

I have now sold my vessel Tzer and will not be offering fishing charters. I would like to thank all those that have taken the opportunity to come and exprience what Gisborne has to offer over the past eight years. I would also like to thank Harbour View Marine, B***e Lures, Jigstar/Zest, White Pointer Boats and Kilwell who have help and supported me during this time.
I will be changing the name of this page but hopefully still show case what our region has to offer.
I should add that the new owner intends to keep the boat as a charter operation under the same name and I believe based in Auckland.

So this jig has been on one hell of a journey to get here! First, it got hit with the Covid-shutdowns, and then once they reopened again...boom! Level 4 here in NZ.

But now they're here and oh boy do they look good!

The Torpedo is a classic Slow Pitch design that can also double duty in High Pitch (mechanical) jigging.

Its shape gives it a slow slide/rolling action and the highly luminous stripes ensures it will be noticed in deep water.

Available in Pink, Blue, Orange, Lime and Purple and sizes 200, 300, 400, 500g.
