Results round up.

Athletic Bobcats move to the top of the Tairawhiti Championship after their 2 - 1 win over Wainui Sharks, also wins for our Gisborne Pro Roofing and Thistle Thunder and Versatile had a default win over HSOB - GBHS Reserves.

Our Allan Kellett Ladies shared the points with Shockers Red and our ElectriNET Thistle Men and Tatapouri Marist Ladies had to take the 'L' this weekend.

Thanks to everyone who braved the weather to watch a game this weekend.

Our ElectriNET Thistle Men's slim title hopes were left in tatters after the latest in a series of sub par performances saw them go down 4 - 1 in Napier.

Despite not registering a shot on target from open play in the first half, and the Rovers keeper not having a save to make, the Jags went into half time 1 - 0 up, courtesy of an early Jimmy Somerton penalty. The home side were unlucky to be behind at the half, only good goalkeeping, goal line clearances and wasteful finishing prevented them from taking a healthy lead into the break.

The 2nd half followed a similar pattern to the 1st, Rovers dominating, and it was no real surprise that they added four goals. Thistle showed brief glimpses of what they are capable of, but it was 83 minutes before they forced the home side's goalkeeper into his first save of the game.

A very disappointing day and the team face another difficult trip to Hawkes Bay next weekend.

ElectriNET Thistle head to Napier and have half a dozen spare seats on the bus, if you fancy a day out. The bus will be leaving at 7.30 a.m, though, so you'll need to get up early!

If day trips aren't your thing, make sure you get out and support our teams this weekend. Our players appreciate it.

This Saturday sees our ElectriNET Thistle Men's team heading to Bluewater Stadium to face Napier City Rovers. NCR currently sit in 2nd spot on the Eastern Premiership with the Jags 2 points behind them, in 3rd place.
The team will be travelling to Napier by bus on Saturday and there will be some seats available for supporters who want to travel down and support the boys.

A round up of our results over the weekend.

Big wins for Gisborne Pro Roofing and both of our Development teams, while Thistle Bobcats and our Tatapouri Marist Ladies also recorded good wins.

A big weekend for George Ure, who hit the net twice yesterday for Bobcats and followed that up today by scoring four times for the Under 15 Development team in Taupo.

After their big win last week, our ElectriNET Thistle Men's 1st team are back at Childers Road on Saturday to take on Napier Marist in the Eastern Premiership.
The Jags, currently in 4th place, will be looking to keep in touch with the teams above them, while Marist will be looking for revenge after losing to Thistle earlier in the season. 2.45 kick-off, see you there.
