Cook School We are uniquely different.

Our antique store is set in a large barn on a working farm in Gordonton, just north of Hamilton. We stock all sorts of antiques, including furniture, silver, porcelain and designer objects of desire. We have a vast selection of designer fabrics, including Designers Guild and Bakers, and offer a full interior design service. On top of all this, we offer regular Cooking Demonstrations and events, featuring international cuisine styles, taking place in our cottage, which is brimming with antiques and art for you to enjoy. We also offer the ability for groups to visit, with either morning or afternoon tea, to view the barn, have a tour of the cottage and wander around the large garden, visiting our menagerie of very friendly goats, pigs, chickens and unusual Indian Running Ducks,
We also offer small group tours to France, and France, Spain and Portugal. Travelling with no more than 7 other people visiting great tourist sites, and places off the beaten tourist track.

Another SUPER day in Burgundy. Today I took my group to Beaune. First port of call was the Hospice de Beaune, a beautifully restored 15th century hospital. Such a stunning building. A lovely lunch, then the group went for a tutored wine tasting.
Then a lovely wander back to the house through the Burgundy countryside.
Tomorrow we move onto Annecy. 🇫🇷

What a lovely day we have had. Today we drove about an hour from the house to the city of Dijon. Famous for mustard of course but also a really lovely city. Beautiful buildings, and a great market. Got yummy provisions for dinner. On our way back we found a lovely chateau along the road. It actually belongs to the parents of the owner of the house we are staying in. 🇫🇷

Just look at what we are calling home for the next 3 nights. So peaceful and beautiful. I tell you something, it’s SO dry. We have passed streams with no water at all. It’s also quite hot. About 30 degrees. Feel very lucky to be here. 🇫🇷

We have now moved on to our stop for the evening - Colmar. Again such a pretty place. Excellent salad for lunch, beautiful old timbered buildings, and a very pretty Christmas shop. Being Sunday there are LOTS of people. 🇫🇷
