Tailing 2025 🐑

Another season underway and this one has definitely kept us on our toes.
Trying to work around the wild weather (mainly that relentless wind!) has made it a bit tricky!

We spent the morning with Hamish de Latour at Te Whangai Romneys NZ selecting our rams for next season. This is our third year buying from Hamish and we’re now seeing the first real impact of his genetics at home - the lambing from our two tooths was exceptional this year.

We select on the traits that matter most to our system -

Fertility
Worm resilience
Weaning weights
Build
Wool type

Hamish consistently breeds practical, high performing Romneys with the depth and type we need.
Another strong lineup this year and we’re excited to get these boys home 🐏

Just want to say a massive thank you to all involved in making this airstrip a reality!

Russcoll Contracting for all the earthworks. SVT Transport for the cartage and Bill and Ryan for making sure the strip would be up to standard and would achieve what we set out to do.
