Today marks one year since the powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake tested the foundation of our beautiful island home.

While the memory remains fresh, what shines even brighter is the unbreakable spirit of the Ni-Vanuatu people. We remember the moments of uncertainty, but we celebrate the months of unity, hard work, and determination that followed.

Here at Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu, we stand in awe of the resilience shown by our team, our community, and the entire Shefa Province. Every repaired building, every shared smile, and every thriving business is a testament to the fact that Vanuatu is not just surviving—it's flourishing.

🌴✨ Great News for School Travel to New Caledonia! 🇳🇨✈️

We’re excited to share that the New Zealand Government has officially lowered the travel advisory for New Caledonia to Level 2 – Exercise Increased Caution, which is the same rating applied to places like France, the UK and many other destinations globally. This is a fantastic step forward and reflects the improved situation on the ground.

Even better - we’ve just had a school group return from Noumea, and they reported no safety concerns during their trip. Their experience was smooth, safe, and full of the incredible cultural and educational moments New Caledonia is known for. 🌺🌊

With conditions continuing to stabilise, we’re thrilled at the possibility of welcoming more school groups back to this beautiful destination. As always, student safety remains our top priority, and we’ll keep monitoring official advice closely.

🇯🇵 Piopio College's Amazing Adventure in Japan! 🇯🇵

Our group from Piopio has been soaking up the sights and sounds of Japan, and what an incredible experience it looks like it has been so far! From the buzzing streets of Tokyo to the peaceful temples of Kyoto, they’ve been embracing everything this beautiful country has to offer. ✨

Check out some of the highlights from their trip:

👩‍🍳 Cooking Class: Students had a blast learning how to make traditional Japanese dishes, perfecting their culinary skills and getting a taste of Japan's delicious cuisine! 🍣

🌟 TeamLab Borderless: The futuristic, immersive digital art museum took everyone on a sensory journey. It's a place where art and technology come together in the most breathtaking way! 🌈

🛍️ Takesh*ta Street: The students explored the vibrant heart of Harajuku, where fashion, food, and fun collide! From colorful boutiques to delicious street snacks, this place is a must-see for anyone visiting Tokyo. 🎨🍡

🐒 Arashiyama Monkey Park: A trek up the scenic hills of Kyoto led to an unforgettable encounter with wild monkeys! The views from the top were just as wild as the monkeys themselves. 🐒🌿

👘 Kimono Dress-Up: A traditional Japanese experience that brought the beauty and culture of Kyoto to life. The students got to dress in beautiful kimonos and experience the elegance of Japanese fashion firsthand. 💖

✈️ Te Puke Intermediate's First day in Samoa!

Te Puke Intermediate school group kicked off their journey bright and early at Auckland Airport before boarding an Air New Zealand flight to Apia. For many students, it was their very first time flying - an exciting milestone!

After landing, Autobots Transport whisked the group to their base at the Tanoa Hotel, where they enjoyed a swim, dinner, and a vibrant Fia Fia cultural show. The students even shared their own Waiata and Haka, proudly representing their kura.

A big day of travel, but an unforgettable start to their Samoan adventure. 🌺 Stay tuned for more updates tomorrow!
