Great to have Jayden and the Scripture Union team back with us for the third year in a row! 🙌

We love what Scripture Union is doing with young people — creating opportunities for growth, connection, faith and plenty of adventure along the way.

It’s awesome seeing the group learning outdoor skills, challenging themselves, having fun and building stronger relationships together.

We really value the relationship we’re building with Jayden and the team and highly recommend the work they’re doing with young people. 🌲🧗‍♂️

18 years of Blue Light at Activity Hanmer! 💙

There are some groups that become a pretty special part of your story, and Blue Light is certainly one of ours.

For an incredible 18 years, Bruce Ward and the Blue Light team have been bringing young people to Hanmer Springs to experience adventure, challenge themselves, build confidence and, most importantly, have a whole lot of fun.

We absolutely love having Bruce here. His heart for young people and his community is something pretty special. His enthusiasm is infectious, he genuinely cares about every young person who comes through, and year after year he continues to give his time and energy to creating opportunities that can make a real difference.

That’s what Blue Light is all about — empowering young people through positive experiences, helping them build confidence, resilience and connection, and giving them opportunities to discover what they’re capable of.

Bruce, thank you for what you do, for the heart you bring to it, and for choosing to bring your crew back to us year after year.

18 years and counting — we absolutely love having you guys here! 💙🙌

🧭 A brand-new orienteering course is nearly ready to go!

We’ve been busy getting everything set up, and I’ve had one seriously good little helper along the way. 💪

My youngest, Caleb, has been drilling, cutting pipe and helping create all of our new orienteering controls. What an absolute legend! 🙌

The course is now set, the maps are printed, laminated and ready to go, and we can’t wait to welcome our first school group onto the new course next week!

Nothing better than getting outside, working together and putting those navigation skills to the test. 🗺️🌲

☀️ Spring has sprung in Hanmer! 🌲🏹🪓

What a weekend we’ve just had at Activity Hanmer!

We had stag dos, birthday celebrations, team-building groups, families and groups of mates all getting stuck into some outdoor fun. We even had the Canterbury Cricket umpires along for a bit of team building! 🙌

Archery, axe throwing, air ri**es and plenty of laughs — exactly how weekends should look. 😎

The warmer weather is arriving, the sun is out, and we’re seriously looking forward to a BIG spring and summer ahead!

🚵‍♂️🏹 We had the best time hosting the Police TAUTUA Team for mountain biking and archery!

An awesome group, plenty of laughs and some impressive skills. Thanks for the incredible work you do supporting young people—we can’t wait to welcome you back! ❤️

Eventful few days! 💨😅

The weekend winds ripped the roof clean off our staff hut, followed by plenty of rain.

Huge thanks to and Ross Carter for getting it covered so quickly and helping us dry everything out.

And a massive shout-out to Matt Bridge for helping me get the roof back on today — absolute legend! 🙌

Even my youngest, Caleb got stuck in drying the floors. ❤️
