The Art galleries of Colombo
According to Pablo Picasso, “the purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls”. This tour is all about art and art lovers. It will surely wash away the dust of daily life from your soul.
Start your tour with a nice breakfast at the Barefoot Café. The amazing food at this café might tempt you to spend the entire day at your table. But, after breakfast, we move forward with our tour and explore the art galleries of Colombo. The first stop is the Barefoot Gallery. This has existed under several guises, known as the Colombo Gallery from 1967 to 1972, then reopening in 1991 as Gallery 706 Colombo, and finally, in 1999, it adopted its current name. This gallery is a major attraction of Sri Lanka and features the exemplary artwork of local and international artists. It also hosts other enticing events like poetry reading, live concerts, and film nights.
