Just like that, our first family island holiday to celebrate my Mum's big birthday is done! Rarotonga, you have been fabulous!
A weeklong vacation staying in a 5-bedroom villa with our own pool was everything we had hoped for.
Loads of space to spread out for the 7 of us, amazing views with private beach access, air-conditioned rooms spread over 2 floors, laundry, two bathrooms fabulous bi-folding doors out to the pool area.
Mud buggies, snorkeling with turtles and classic Captain Tamas glass bottom boat were the activities of choice.
Doing a bit of research before you go does help, things like restaurants do get booked out. Making reservations was essential!
If you have a family group or group of friends, this villa and many others are about the island. You don't always have to stay in a resort when on an island holiday :)
