Two years under some of the world’s most incredible night skies ✨
Tonight we came together to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Kaikōura becoming an International Dark Sky Sanctuary, and what a beautiful way to mark it.
It was so good to see our community, alongside visitors to Kaikōura, spending time together under the night sky, gathered around the fire pit, hot cuppa in hand, sharing stories, good conversations and simply taking time to look up.
A huge thank you to the Kaikōura Dark Sky Trust for putting on such an awesome community event, and more importantly, for all the mahi that continues behind the scenes. Also thanks to Fyffe House for use of your amazing property.
Two years on, there is so much to celebrate, and so much worth protecting.
Here’s to keeping Kaikōura’s skies dark, our stars bright, and our community connected.
