Had a bit of interest in getting some ES18's built recently. Nice simple cabinet. Thought I'd play around with a grill design also. It's similar to a ventilation grill that I built into some house bus furniture last year. I dig it, but what do you guys think? I hardly even see people using grills these days... would be a cool unique identifying feature for a rig though.

It’s time we broke the ice on our silent & neglected page and shared some of our projects from the last few years. The hard drives are full of interesting shots from the workshop that few people have seen. This year we will endeavour to share more of the projects happening at Zone 2 & compile some of our favourite shots of previous projects. There is a whole heap of more up to date content over on our website at https://zone2.nz if anyone is interested. We also have a new website ready to be launched soon so stay tuned.

We are happy to announce that we're now qualified to issue self contained vehicle certificates in house @ Zone 2. This is helpful for our own builds and also a handy thing for those looking for the one stop shop where you will find all the components one needs to complete your system and have it inspected.

Here's a quick edit of our participation at King Beats charity music festival. We made 4 of these bar units for the event with two engraved logo fronts.
We recessed led lighting into the bar tops to illuminate the fronts, bartops and shelving. Assmebly is easy with an interlocking flatpack system and are modular so you can keep joining them together for big or small events.

THEY ARE FOR RENT. If it's something your'd like to use at your wedding or party contact King Beats If you want your logo on the fronts we can do that also.

Wouldn't mind making a furniture gade version. Reckon it would look pretty sweet with nice ply ;-)

THE CATS OUT OF THE BAG!

Whilst we were hoping for a whole lot of ideals to align before publicly sharing our product, moving a prototype on has given it all away and sparked a fair bit of interest on our van interior kit sets.

Our website is under development and soon we’ll have all costings and options laid out clearly there with some real nice photos etc. Until then, as we’ve not shared any of our work in that area on this page yet, this is a note to let you know that your at the right place and please get in touch for more information.

We are constantly working on new designs and will be prototyping one for bigger vans soon.
All designs are built with algebraic equations meaning we can easily tweak the sizes to fit any van precisely, though some designs are more proportional to a certain style of van.

Cost depends a lot on the amount of options you choose. Like if you want solar systems running fridges, heaters and electric water pumps etc or if you'd like us to fit it for you or not.
We stock 90% of the products used in our designs so if your in Otago and looking for taps, tanks, latches,specialty ply woods, solar equipment etc for your own build then we can help you!

For now, here’s a bit of a gallery of what’s actually going on here at Zone 2. Showcasing a low spec “Basic model” and a Higher spec version of the same design each with different materials used on the fronts.

It’s been an exciting 2019 at Zone 2. Particularly with the arrival of our new CNC machine. A lot has been learned through trial and error, research and commitment. The high light and bulk of the year has been learning, designing and using the CNC to prototype our kitset camper van interiors. But that’s worthy of another post on it’s own so stay tuned for that!
