Today, on March 21st the Sun will be in a position so that there will be approximately the same number of daytime and nighttime hours across the planet. In the southern hemisphere this will be the Autumn Equinox, whereas in the northern hemisphere it will be the Spring Equinox.

Did you know …
On the night of the 31st of January not only is there a lunar eclipse but it is also a Blue moon. a Blue moon has nothing to do with the moons actual colour, when there is a second full moon in a month it is called a blue moon. This happens because the moon takes 27 days to orbit the Earth, therefore about once a year there will be two full moons in one calendar month (once in a Blue moon).
