It is GETTING REAL! May 7th. To fly* domestically, you must have your state-issued Real ID** or your Passport. Visit your state's driver license agency website to see what documentation is required.

According to: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification you can also use a passport card, Global Entry Card and some specific others that are listed on the US Agency's website (that link ^ ^ ^ )

Please don't be caught off guard. This deadline is real (ID) and is not being extended as it has previously.

Passport rules remain the same and the Real ID may not be used for crossing borders to Canada or Mexico, by land, sea, or air.

*Certain Federal Facilities and Nuclear Power Plants-really, Do we know anyone who has entered a Nuclear Power Plant besides Homer Simpson?

**Enhanced Driver’s Licenses (EDL) issued by Washington, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, and Vermont are considered acceptable alternatives to REAL ID-compliant cards and will also be accepted for official REAL ID purposes
