Methven Heliski Heliskiing in New Zealand changed in 1986. Methven Heliski opened up untapped heli ski and heliboarding terrain in the Southern Alps, near Christchurch.

It also raised the bar of professionalism and safety for the NZ heliski industry. The Arrowsmiths lie at the head of the Rakaia and Rangitata Rivers. We are open on July 18th. We have been lucky this past week to receive 1.5 meters of snow from the North Westerly system that came through over the weekend, followed by up to 40cm of South Easterly snow in the past 24hrs.
