Aotearoa New Zealand is reopening its borders. Already the 2022-23 season is looking like a massive season with a backlog of postponed groups all wishing to come to Aotearoa over next spring and summer. As I result we are on the look out for new tour leaders , particularly in the general nature and birding areas.

Forest & Bird has taken a real hit financially from downstream impacts of Covid-19 . So too has Nature Quest New Zealand Ltd. What better way to use the unused work passenger vehicles, our experience and free time with no overseas groups, than to assist Forest & Bird in a meaningful way. Wildflowers abounded in the southern forests today, while delightful fairy wrens interrupted our picnic lunch. Later the evergreen kangaroo paws enthralled. Three different tawny frogmouths completed a day of diversity while we were out listening for nocturnal frog ‘chatter’.
