Tim and Catherine and our lovely tour clubbers have returned from their fabulous Back Country Stations tour in the Gisborne area.
While the weather wasn’t always perfect, the places we went to and the people we met were top notch and so generous in sharing their knowledge. And of course there were plenty of smiles, fun and banter from our group.
We’re all back home now safe and sound with wonderful memories, and now to hunker down today as the cyclone passes through.

As we head home, it’s time to reflect on our last 5 days.
We’ve all loved every minute and having nothing but respect for all the beautiful humans we have had the pleasure of meeting, and their passion and stories they have shared with us.
Leigh from Sunset Waterfront Lodge is fantastic, the perfect guide and a great place to stay.
We’ve seen the most beautiful scenery, we can’t get enough of it.

Well the storm has passed on Great Bsrrier and today was a pearler.
The wonderful Jacques Haven and Okiwi Passion were great examples of locals living off the land and using good old Kiwi ingenuity as they live off the grid.
A fantastic day and tomorrow we head off on a cruise with Chris on Sundancer, we can’t wait.

Our past couple of days on our West Coast tour, scenery still stunning, sun still shining and our tour clubbers still having a blast.

The last few days have been full of beautiful scenery and awesome activities.
Nile River Rainforest Train, Pancake rocks, Blackball, Hokitika Gorge, Eco Adventure cruise, Treetop walk, with a highlight being our helicopter ride onto Franz Josef, there aren’t enough words.
Tonight we are in gorgeous Cromwell, our home for the next 2 nights.

Plenty of fish to catch and eat, crayfish, beautiful scenery, history, friendly locals, there’s such a lot to love about...
