We're excited to welcome Hohepa to Te Puna Umanga Venture Taranaki in a new role that will help strengthen support for pakihi Māori across the region.

Hohepa brings extensive experience working alongside Māori businesses, iwi, hapū and indigenous enterprises, with a strong focus on capability building, economic development, strategic partnerships and creating pathways for growth.

This role is a unique collaboration between Venture Taranaki, He Toronga Pakihi ki Taranaki, and Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa, helping strengthen connections and opportunities for pakihi Māori throughout Taranaki.

With a deep understanding of kaupapa Māori approaches to economic development, Hohepa is passionate about supporting Māori enterprise to thrive and creating lasting outcomes for whānau, communities and the wider regional economy.

Congratulations to Dave Rogers (Te Atiawa, Ngāti Ruanui, Taranaki, Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Maniapoto) who has been made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for his service to conservation.

David Rogers spent 50 years working for the Department of Conservation.

✨ Whakapapa & identity – grounding ourselves in our stories and our people
✨ Leadership & future pathways – exploring opportunities and stepping confidently into your future
In our wānanga space, these learnings are more than just kōrero — they are about empowering you to stand strong in your identity, lead with purpose, and carry the legacy of Te Atiawa forward 💪🏽

There’s a real sense of warmth and belonging here — the kind that can’t be built overnight, but grows through time, care, and collective effort. Pukekura Parade is a testament to this journey and looking ahead with excitement for what’s to come for our whānau of Te Atiawa Iwi.
