'The Buzz' 🐝 Short stories about the team behind your favourite honey 🍯

Meet Matty, one of the Honey Makers here at Egmont and considered by many to be the “future mayor of New Plymouth.”

He began working with us a while back, as a guide for our tour company Egmont Travel Group who operate a range of tours across the region. The more he learned about the honey making process, the more fascinated he became. Matty is pretty easy to spot around the factory, he’s the one tearing around on forklifts and popping his head in and out of creaming tanks.
"I have loved learning how to make honey under the watchful eye of Jason our master honey maker who has more than 25 years of experience. Like fine wine, every batch of honey behaves differently and I take great pride in the great feedback we get on the taste and creamy texture of our honey."
