Passionate about tourism? We're looking for an enthusiastic front desk team member to join us assisting to coordinate our daily water taxi and tour services, on Stewart Island/ Rakiura. With an immediate start and competitive salary, we're happy to talk about permanent or temp options, full time or part time negotiable. Optional crewing hours with occasional guiding as well. We were lucky enough to have our little ones on board to share this with them - this playful sea lion accompanied us out of the Freshwater River, making an otherwise regular water taxi service a very special trip 🦭🥰

Visitor Experience Coordinator, Booking Office/Home, Stewart Island

Work from home during winter months
Work in our centrally located booking office (summer), with modern booking software and equipment, in a supportive team environment. Work from home during winter months. You will be responsible for creating memorable visitor experiences, and the coordination of our daily tramping, water taxi, hunting and tour services.

Crew Member, aboard 18m Paikea
Immediate start, finish end-Apr however some winter hours available
5 days per week
Part – full time (negotiable)
You’ll be working in Paterson Inlet and around Stewart Island/ Rakiura’s North-East coast, including crew tasks and providing interpretation/ commentary at areas of interest. You must have a driver’s licence, current Basic First Aid Certificate, and NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Other beneficial skills and experience include knowledge of the Stewart Island marine area (however full training provided) and being a great communicator with enthusiasm for providing high quality visitor experiences.

Knowledge and/ or experience of the Stewart Island marine area advantageous but not essential. Essential skills include excellent boat driving skills, experience driving vessels in varied conditions, great communicator, and have enthusiasm for providing high quality visitor experiences.
