Kia ora e te whānau,
Rotorua Ziplines is on the lookout for a new team member to join us here in beautiful Ōkere Falls.
The main role is guiding manuhiri/visitors through our epic zipline experience — flying over waterfalls, walking through native ngahere, sharing the stories of this special place, and helping people connect with the awa, the whenua, and the taiao around them.
But we’re also looking for someone who can bring a bit of practical magic to the team.
Ideally, you’ll have some hands-on skills — building, maintenance, fencing, landscaping, track work, tools, repairs, problem-solving, or just being the kind of person who can look at a job and figure out how to get it done.
We have ongoing maintenance and future developments planned within the zipline operation, so someone who can guide tours and also get stuck into practical outdoor mahi would be a great fit.
The role is paid per trip, with work depending on bookings and the season. For the right person — someone reliable, switched on, and keen to grow — there’s definitely scope for the role to become something bigger over time.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Confident, friendly, and great with people
Comfortable working at height and outdoors
Physically fit and safety-minded
Practical and good with their hands
Reliable, positive, and keen to learn
Respectful of the whenua, awa, and kaupapa of the place
Happy working as part of a tight team
Bonus points for experience in tourism, guiding, building, maintenance, landscaping, ropes, first aid, or outdoor work.
You’ll be working in one of the most beautiful places in Aotearoa, flying over waterfalls, walking through native forest, and being part of a team that’s helping restore the whenua through native planting, trapping, and conservation mahi.
