cle Way starts at the edge of the property. A wide concrete path and solid timber bridges follow the eastern edge of the Tamaki River coastline for more than 5kms. The Panmure Basin Walkway is an easy 5 minute walk across the Panmure Bridge. This is a 3km circular walk around the edge of of the Panmure Basin. Door to door, at a brisk walk, this can be completed in 50 minutes. Pakuranga Town Centre is a 2 minutes drive away and Sylvia Park, one of the largest shopping malls in the southern hemisphere, is a 5 minute drive away.

Nothing in the rabbit hole and now my favourite pine trees for finding possums have gone. Progress ☹.

Riverside Retreat is located on what was the original Pakuranga Road. Built in the 1920"s the concrete road is part of the local heritage. Only the concrete buttresses remain from the second Tamaki Bridge demolished in the early sixties. Close by are the remains of the first bridge (under the marina) and stock yards by the Landing - used by barges that served the islands of the gulf.
