On our Hello Auckland tour, we recommend a day trip to Tiritiri Matangi Island with the crew Explore Group New Zealand.
The Tiri volunteer guides are walking Wikipedia’s on native birds from the Tui to the Takehe. With over 280,000 trees planted on this once barren island, it’s a Hauraki Gulf gem of birdsong and a brilliant experience for nature lovers.
