Huge congratulations to Levon Mosdell our General Manager of Marine, on being named NZMTA Young Seafarer of the Year 👏

Levon attended the NZ Marine Transport Association Conference in Wellington at Parliament yesterday among industry leaders. He had no idea he’d been nominated, making the award an even more special surprise.

This recognition reflects not only Levon’s individual achievement, but also the strength of our wider marine team and the high standards they deliver every day.

A must read from our guide Helen on how she spent ANZAC day this year...

"I was honoured to conduct a small but beautiful ANZAC service with trampers on Queen Charlotte Track at Torea/Portage saddle this morning.

Accompanied by 8 Australians on a fully guided trip with Wilderness Guides, commencing the last day of the track from Portage to Anakiwa. All these trampers have military connections - family or friends who are, or have, served. It was a very poignant moment for us all

I was a Commissioner Officer in the Royal Navy for 20 years before emigrating to NZ nearly 16 years ago. My Cougar Line transfer this morning was crewed by Martin Brett, who served 30 years with the Irish Navy before emigrating.

In the Wilderness Guides office, I met up with Merlin, MTC Vehicle Operations Manager, in his Army uniform. All 3 of us from MTC marched in the Picton Dawn Parade this ANZAC Day 2026.

Proud to have served.

We will remember them".

This ANZAC Day, we reflect on the generations who served to protect the freedoms that allow us to do just that.

We honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who returned changed forever.
