This weekend, Mana competed at the NZCT 2025 NZ and Oceania Canoe Sprint Championships! They've had a lot of fun, laughs, a couple of medals, chocolate fish, a birthday, and even a baby on board! Shout out to all of our paddlers who gave it their very best, our coaches for helping them get there, and our parents who stepped in to help (and cook!).

Fantastic result for Emma overnight at the Canoe Sprint World Championships as she finished in 5th place in the Open Womens 5km race.

In what were very tricky conditions all the work Emma put in over the winter practicing portaging came to the fore as she navigated the 5 portages and the side on chop in real style.

We're so proud of you Emma!!

Emma is now off to England to train with the Wey Kayak Club in Guildford to prepare for the World Marathon Championships. Big thanks to the team at Wey Kayak Club for all your support.

At the World Marathon's in Croatia, Emma with be competing in the Open Womens K1 marathon and 3.5km short course events.

The photo is of Emma crossing the finish line racing in a blistering 35deg heat.

It was a tough first day on the water for Emma as she didn't get the result she was after in trying to qualify for the A final in the K1 1000m. Finishing in 7th place in her semi final.

Although the result on the scoreboard didn't reflect what she was wanting in terms of an performance outcome, the result on her internal scoreboard (self learning) was massive and in many ways her most important victory as she continues her journey on a pathway of mastery.

She is back on the water on Sunday where she is competing in the K1 5km with all the excitement and skill of lap racing and portages.

This will be exciting along with the mens race where Pimenta and Pedersen go head to head again.
