😇 GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS 😈

We'll start with the good news since that's the order the saying goes in. But please ignore the fact that the images are around the wrong way and that the little devil is smiling...

THE GOOD NEWS - Abandoned Petone is open for business on King's Birthday! Get in there and enjoy a piping hot sandwich and an ice cold beer!!!!?!!!

THE BAD NEWS - Abandoned Porirua is closed... Now we really did want to open, because obviously we love everyone out in Porirua! BUT, Jamie doesn't want to work the shift. So please, before you even think about bad mouthing Abandoned Brewery just remember it was entirely Jamie's fault and we take absolutely zero responsibility!

🧸 BEARS BEERS BAERS BAARS 🧸

Please "bear" with us (hahahahahahahahahahhaahahah right?!) this is going to be a long one! But it'll be worth it...

After what could only be called a roaring (another one for ya!! haha) success of our stand design for Beervana last year, with at least two or three people telling us they really liked it. We've decided to do the obvious thing and pivot our entire brand around this monumental success!

Introducing Abandoned Bears - All your favourite Abandoned Brewery staple beers fitted out in beautiful bear-themed (puns are so funny! hehe) 440ml cans!

LAGER - A light and beary refreshing treat!
PILSNER - Another light and also BEARRy refreshing treat!?!
APA - A fan favourite at our cubs (this one's a bit of a reach sorry - pubs we mean)
HAZY PALE ALE - This one will sneak up on you in your tent and eat you (we've given up)

💊 Good News and Bad News 💊

Good News: Remember that Fresh Hop beer we talked about what feels like months and months ago? Well, it's FINALLY HERE!!!?! Head into Abandoned Petone or Abandoned Porirua and get yaself a glass or two, then 12-24 cans to take away because this stuff won't last! "What is it though you haven't given us any information?" you'll just have to wait and see! 😘

Bad News: If you're reading this and hoping to head down to Abandoned Porirua tomorrow (Tuesday), you're out of luck... Now that silly season is over, we're going back to our usual hours and closing down on Tuesdays. BUT come Wednesday, Jamie will be there with bells on, ready to serve up hundreds of fresh hop beers!?! Thanks Jamie, we love you.

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: The Porirua Taproom is going to be closed this Saturday night from 7 pm for an extremely special reason. If you haven't already guessed, It's Wayne's 40th birthday!!?!

We're sorry if your plans were to come down to Abandoned Porirua from 7:00 pm til 9:00 pm on Saturday the 5th of April - but you can't! We love Wayne here at Abandoned and he also has hundreds of friends so he's hired out the whole damn joint.

Please wish him a happy birthday in the comments or tell him how much you hate him for stealing the taproom from you!!

God damn! We've cooked up something special for all you folks at Cuba D**a this year!!! Well has, and we've just provided some beers.. But come down from midday Saturday for all the oysters beer and wine you can handle.

And if that wasn't enticing enough, there will be tunes from combined with damn good music from and special guests .6 & will be on from 3 pm til kick out.

We love you all so DAMN much that we thought we'd start 2025 off by releasing the next iteration of everyone's favourite series of Hazy IPAs. Fall off the dry January wagon with this bad boy;

How the f@ could we follow up something as good as Hazy #17 you ask!? Well by changing things ever so slightly again and hoping that it works! This time we’ve gone with Centennial, Kohatu and Columbus.
