Chasing Glaciers and Grizzlies: My Holland America Alaska Land & Cruise Tour 🏔️🛳️
I’ve just returned from an unforgettable Holland America land & cruise tour through Alaska, and what an adventure it was! This combination trip is the perfect way to experience the vast Alaskan wilderness. During the land portion, we spotted moose, bears and caribou in their natural habitat, while Dawson City and the Klondike country were a total surprise - quickly becoming one of my personal favourites.
We then boarded ms Koningsdam in Skagway, and I have to say, it’s one of my favourite ships to sail on. Glacier Bay was hands-down the ultimate highlight, with the incredible opportunity to see the glaciers up close. We also enjoyed whale, otter and seal sightings from the deck, while watching the famous Salmon Run in Ketchikan was fascinating. Holland America runs this tour seamlessly from start to finish, perfectly blending wilderness, wildlife and world-class cruising in a way that’s hard to beat.

✨ Ladies Business Lunch ✨ Jo and Lisa enjoyed a fantastic Ladies Business Lunch on Wednesday at Pukekohe Golf Club. 🥂They were pictured with Kelly from Franklin Law and Bridget McRobbie from Luxworks. With around 150 women from across Franklin, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with lunch, bubbles, networking, and connecting with like-minded businesswomen from our local community. 💼✨
A big thank you to Franklin Law for putting on another fantastic event! It was a great opportunity to catch up, make new connections, and celebrate the amazing women in business within our community. 💕

🌍Tour Leader Travels - John and Wendy Graham - Southern Alps Tour 🌍
A memorable five-day Southern Alps winter tour brought together 18 clients, good weather and spectacular scenery. After arriving in Christchurch, the group enjoyed a central-city walking tour led by passionate local guide Kim; light showers did little to affect spirits.
An early start on day two saw the group board the TranzAlpine to Greymouth, where clear skies revealed magnificent snow-capped Southern Alps. The afternoon was free for exploring Greymouth, with visits to Shantytown and walks along the riverfront.
After a frosty start on day three, the tour travelled via Reefton, learning about its rich mining heritage and status as New Zealand’s first town with reticulated electricity. We had a guided walking tour. The journey continued through Lewis Pass to Hanmer Springs.
The centrally located Edit Hotel provided easy access to thermal pools, shops and the sculpture park, while pre-dinner drinks, a hearty meal and a glowing wood fire made for a cosy evening. The tour concluded with lunch at Waipara Springs Winery before the flight home to Auckland.

🌍 Tour Leader Travels - Maria O'Connor🌍
Bulla! I’m lucky enough to have just returned from a 7 day cruise around the Yasawa Islands in Fiji. By 5pm on the first night of the cruise we were paddling in the warm waters of a small uninhabited island a couple of hours from Nadi and that set the mood for the whole magical holiday. That night was the Captains Welcome Dinner with an À la Carte menu including fresh fish and wine which flowed freely!
Over the next week we enjoyed some fabulous snorkelling, walking, swimming in cave pools and two blissful nights tied up to a coconut palm at the stunning Blue Lagoon. Here we swam, snorkelled, walked, read and relaxed during the day and enjoyed cocktails and drinks in the evening. We experienced a Fijian meke here, their voices and passion for the performance were outstanding making it a very moving cultural experience. We also visited some villages and a local High School which gave a very authentic perspective to both the joy and also the challenges of village life on the islands of Fiji. It was a real privilege to experience first hand kava ceremonies, school and church visits and a beautiful dinner at a local village - there was also plenty of opportunity to buy shells!
Pukekohe Travel had booked the whole boat so it was very easy to mix and mingle and friendships were formed and stories and photos shared when we all came together at Happy Hour, lots of laughs and some truly inspiring stories.
