🌍 TOUR LEADER TRAVELS 🌍
My name is Vanessa and I have es**rted 17 tours with Pukekohe Travel, both internationally and in NZ.
I was privileged to es**rt the March 2026 Tasmania tour. I had an amazing group of 26 Pukekohe Tavel customers and shared 15 fabulous days with the group.
This was my first time to Tasmania, and every day was a highlight, I would love to share a few of them.
•Some of my favourite moments, early morning walk around Hobart harbour at dawn, the beauty of Mount Field as we walked to the waterfall, the size of the trees was impressive, Seeing a Tasmanian Devil at feeding time. The history of Tasmania, with its incredible building (many from the 1800’s) and the convict history (Port Arthur) our incredible coach driver David (with us on tour all the way) shared his extensive knowledge of the indigenous Palawa people of Tasmania and shared many other stories and laughs with us along the way.
•Everyday delivered new highlights and ventures, too many to list, but perhaps my favourite was McQuarie Harbour and Gordon River cruise in Strahan, onboard the luxury first class hybrid catamaran, Spirit of the Wild, which included wonderful Tasmanian wines with morning tea and lunch. We experienced the most amazing weather with moody clouds, calm quiet waters and reflection of the river that were very rarely ever experienced.
•The group enjoyed cocktails or our complimentary bottle of Tasmanian bubbles on the deck of our lodge at Freycinet National Park as we watched the sunset. A great environment for the team to bond and get to know more about each other.
•Tasmania is one of the top 20 best places on earth to visit. There is so much to offer, and this tour doesn’t disappoint, with something new every day.
