Tuakau Sea Scout hall was broken into over night and our small 6hp 4 stroke yamaha outboard and tote tank was stolen. If you see or hear of anyone trying to off load one please let the police know they have been notified of the break in. We would really like it returned we only just replaced it after our last one got stolen.
If you are the one who stole it, hope you feel good about yourself you are stealing from kids. Just do the right thing and give it back

Tonight our venturers honored Bridget Dobbs (Whio) our group leader, who was recently awarded the Silver Tiki from Scouts NZ. The Silver Tiki is a Founders Day award recognizing individuals for their excellent service to Scouts.
Well done Bridget. Our youth appreciate everything you do for them.

And they are off. 4 of our venturers are spending 5 days aboard Steinlager2 as part of the Scout Atl@s programme.

This weekend just gone Nathan Pope (one of our older scouts) and a small group of scouts completed a 3 day 2 night Adventurous Journey which will go towards Nathan's Chief Scout Badge.
Nathan had to organise and run the whole event. They kayaked and camped the "Te ara Moana" trail. As part of the journey the group were fully sufficient, carrying all supplies in the kayaks. The group started at Omana Bay and finished at Orere Point.
A big thank you to, two of our scout leaders who supported the youth on their journey. It sounds like you all had a fabulous time. And the weather looked amazing.

Another successful Regatta. Our scouts and venturers from Tuakau District Sea Scouts participated at the Auckland Regatta at Lake Pupuke in the weekend. Luckly after setting up camp in the rain on Friday evening, the sun came out for the weekend activities. The group entered in Cutter sailing, sunburst sailing, rowing, kayaking, iron scout, catillpillar race, tug of war and seamanship.
Well done team and thank you to all the amazing leaders and parents that make it happen.

Yesterday our Tuakau Scout Group attended the Tuakau Duck Race at Les Batkin Reserve. We had our older youth collecting the yellow rubber ducks after the race had finished. Good work team.

Our Tuakau Sea Scout Group attended the 2025 Northland Regatta at Kai Iwi Lakes in the weekend. Absolutely beautiful at Kai Iwi.
We had a very successful weekend taking out 3rd place overall. We competed in sunburst sailing, cutter sailing, kayaking, rowing, seamanship and iron scout. Well done to our 22 youth who attended and the 8 leaders/adults who also competed in the open categories.
