It’s not rocket science that Queenstown is going to be short staffed over winter while we wait for our migrant workforce and working holiday makers to return to the resort, but with an influx of tourists we need to ensure that the staff we do have aren’t burnt out and that visitors enjoy a wonderful Queenstown experience with great service.

This page is designed to bridge the gap between now and when our workforce returns, and we are asking for help from our Queenstown locals (let’s call you angels, shall we?) to lend a hand for a hours here and there when you can. This isn’t signing anyone up to a second job, and there’s no obligation for hours worked. But if you find you have a few hours in an evening, on a weekend, or anytime someone needs help really, our town- your town- needs you.

QT Residents - Ask yourselves the following questions..
Do you love this town?
Do you have a spare few hours to help out a local business doing some casual work?
Maybe you could do with some extra hours work?
Maybe you used to work in hospo and you fancy dusting off the bar blade or putting your bed making arm muscles to the test again!
Feel free to offer your skills also if you haven't seen a role for you to fill.

Businesses - List your vacant roles that you would be happy for a casual worker to fill.
Make sure you have casual agreements ready to go along with relevant details that you need to enter into payroll.
Any questions - reach out to your HR representative (that may be Hospitality NZ or other)

Remember, Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
