WANTED: Practical, reliable handyman (10–15 hrs/week)
Perfect for a semi-retired builder or tradesperson
We’re looking for a hands-on, switched-on handyman/maintenance whiz to help keep multiple properties running smoothly. If you’re practical, organised, and still love getting things done, this could be the perfect part-time role. This role is based in Queenstown, New Zealand.
🔧 The role includes:
General repair work across residential properties (basic carpentry, patch-ups, minor fixes, fence/gate repairs, paint touch-ups, etc)
Garden maintenance (mowing, trimming, weeding, basic landscaping)
Managing a small fleet of vehicles — keeping on top of WOFs, RUCs, servicing, and general upkeep
Ad hoc tasks as they come up — no two weeks the same
Logging vehicle use and completing a short weekly report
🧰 You’ll need:
Solid handyman or building background (ex-tradie, semi-retired builder, or similar ideal)
Confidence working alone and taking initiative
Strong organisational skills — we need someone who spots what needs doing and just gets it done
A full NZ driver’s licence
A good level of physical fitness
Comfortable with basic record-keeping and using a vehicle logbook
Trustworthy, practical, and professional
⏱ Hours & rate:
10–15 hours per week (flexible days/times by agreement)
Hourly rate based on experience
All tools and equipment provided, or bring your own if you prefer
This is a great role for someone who’s not ready to fully retire, but wants consistent, flexible work where their skills are respected and put to good use.
