Beau Rapley was born into a rural environment of high-country sheep stations, in the now Gibbston Valley wine region (Queenstown).
Having worked in the agriculture and tourism industry all of his life, from owning a rafting company to working on high country stations, he has a strong connection to the motu (land), culture, flora and fauna.
Over the past 14 years, he’s been living his passion through private guiding. His company caters for high-end international visitors and he is the preferred operator for many luxury inbound tour operators.
Beau has developed a portfolio of personalised, exclusive experiences. These include working with numerous high-country sheep stations, vineyards, and wineries, whose owners he knows personally and many of whom are friends. He employs several guides who are as passionate about their jobs and regions as he is.
Beau Rapley Guiding has been awarded Qualmark accreditation, New Zealand’s tourism accreditation.
His interests are wine, skiing, biking, hunting, fishing and travel and of course his dog Jock, who is often requested to accompany the trips.
