Went to look for the "Painted fish" again.
It's been a bit patchy due to the early season big water changed the stream a little, however they were holding in the small patches in few places. '23 summer has officially started!

Rebecca and Pete held fly rod for the first time. They spent bulk of the day learning basics of the fly fishing and made it all count in last few hours of the day. Multiple hook ups and finally got this beauty to the net right at their time limit in one of NZ most challenging water. Let’s hope fly fishing becomes their staple hobby in coming years!

Brent had a go at our full day lesson to kit himself up and be ready for his two weeks fishing trip in nz. Not only he ironed all the problems out, he picked up new skills as well as bagging this beauty. Good on him for taking logical approach to have max efficiency for his trip.
