We often get asked about how you will learn on program, and here's a short run down. 🤔💭 These aren’t classroom-based courses. Everything is learned in the field. You’ll spend your days hiking alpine passes, belaying on outdoor rock, navigating using topographic maps, and leading real groups under supervision. Programs focus on experiential learning, meaning you gain confidence, leadership, and decision-making skills in real-time scenarios.

Whether you're taking a gap year, switching careers, or adding outdoor qualifications to your resume, these programs suit a wide range of people. Many students are aged 18-35+, from all over the world, with a passion for adventure and a desire to grow.

Picture this, you've been hiking for three days, and your last day is approximately 8 hours worth of hiking, and a bunch of river crossings. You walk up to the river, you see a jetboat, you get your hopes up, you eyeball Jeff (our instructor), "is this our ride home?!", Jeff looks at you and nods. WHAT A LEGEND! 🚤 🌊

From river crossings to alpine ridgelines, the New Zealand students tackled the legendary Gillespie Pass with determination and teamwork. 🌄 Each step tested their endurance; and rewarded them with some pretty epic views! Now, they’re putting it all into practice during NZOIA assessments.

Getting the whole squad up a local crag in Wānaka! 🧗‍♂️⛰️ Not a bad spot to hang out, test your skills, and of course take an epic group photo from the top! The "Tombstone" is a popular and iconic feature with climbing on all sides, routes range from grade 17 to 20 on the front face. A must do when climbing in New Zealand!

Time flies when you're having fun, and with only a month left on program, it's knuckle down time to start crossing t's and dotting i's in preparation for their upcoming NZOIA Assessments.

Picture yourself setting up anchors with your friends at the crag, navigating in wild weather with a map and compass, or using your first aid skills to help those in need. The qualifications and skills you gain are globally recognised, whether it's your Bush Leader Qualification, Swift Water Rescue Certification or your Wilderness First Aid; just to name a few. INTRODUCING ROCK LEADER THAILAND! 🥁🥁 A 6 week rock climbing course focusing on rock climbing qualifications, skills, and training to see you become a confident and competent rock climbing guide, leader, and instructor.

Gaining a variety of rock climbing qualifications, this program is perfect for those looking to dial in their rock skills. Not only will you gain rock climbing qualifications, you will also travel throughout Thailand from Chiang Mai to Krabi, visiting local crags, villages, and exploring what the country has to offer.

You will gain the following qualifications: Climbing Wall Instructor, Single Pitch Instructor, Adapted climbing for people with physical disabilities, and Wilderness Advanced First Aid

Skills you will learn:
🗿 Anchor building, belaying, rope management, and abseiling techniques.
🧗 Essential climbing techniques for different rock types, navigation of climbing routes, and effective risk assessment.

How do you explain to people how epic Nepal is when they haven't been there? 💭🗺️ It's almost impossible! The food, the smells, the never ending landscapes, the friendly locals who smile and wave, the pain in your knees after hiking for 13 days, the mental resilience to learn new things day in and day out, the pizza and beer at a pub after camping for weeks on end. It's something you can quite explain but hope people experience for themselves.
