Awesome to see Xtreme Zero Waste and Go Raglan launch the Go Eco dishwashing caravan, officially in action at Manu Bay for the Corona Cero New Zealand Pro presented by Bonsoy.

This has been a real community-led effort behind the scenes, with a lot of mahi going into funding – big thanks to Waikato District Councils Waste Minimisation Fund, logistics, planning and getting the trailer operational for the event.

A huge collective effort from and , with support from , and Karioi Catering, along with Nina Nouk and .dames who are helping bring the kaupapa to life onsite. The wash trailer will help reduce single use and highlight how we can easily choose reusables over creating unnecessary waste.

The kaupapa aligns strongly with many of the themes that came through community consultation around environment, choosing reusables, visitors and protecting what makes Whāingaroa special. It also connects closely with Xtreme Zero Waste’s vision of creating “a world without waste”

Further update on WSL traffic and access for the Corona Cero New Zealand Pro at Manu Bay:

As this area includes Maaori freehold land on Wainui Road, there may be multiple owners associated with the land, along with whaanau members or others who have permission to access or stay on the land but are not named on title.

More than 250 responses have been received for our tourism and events survey!

A big thank you to everyone who took part. Your feedback will help shape a sustainable approach to tourism that considers our economy, environment, visitor and community.

🎉 Congrats to Christina Bianchi, who completed the survey at the Raglan Creative Market and took out the locally sourced prize pack, including a Wahine Moe Sunset Cruise for two and a range of Raglan-made products.

Consultation ran from December to March, with pop-ups at local markets and support from community platforms across Raglan.

📊 Findings will be shared with the community in July.
