I don’t often have time to take a break in our beautiful wee cottage, however, with some autumn gardening jobs to be done, this weekend was the perfect opportunity.
Saturday morning was a bit chilly so after checking out the stunning sunrise and lightning the fire I treated myself to another chapter while I waited for things to warm up 🤗

The start of Autumn has been just stunning!! Our amazing wee fruit trees offering up lots of healthy treats.

Spending some time in the cottage ourselves over the break meant the chance to catch up on the gardening 🧑‍🌾 🪏 🪴 with Wool Life NZ w**d matting. 100% natural fibre (probably sourced from the hills nearby 🐑!) under the Viburnum hedge and the plum, pear, quince and apple trees. Now we just need a little rain to help them along!
