Debbie from our Rangiora office has just returned from an incredible journey through Queensland, experiencing some of Australia's most iconic destinations.
One of the highlights was exploring the breathtaking K'gari (Fraser Island), where she visited the famous Maheno Shipwreck, swam in the crystal-clear waters of Lake McKenzie, cruised along spectacular 75 Mile Beach, and even spotted wild dingoes in their natural habitat.
The adventure featured flights, ferries, mini-coaches, and one truly unforgettable experience – a scenic one-hour helicopter flight to Heron Island. Along the way, she enjoyed spectacular aerial views of Lady Musgrave Island, Lady Elliott Island, Wilson Island, the vibrant Great Barrier Reef, and Heron Island itself.
Heron Island was a true paradise for snorkelling, diving, and birdwatching, with a visit to the island's renowned research centre adding another fascinating layer to the experience. Debbie says the trip has inspired her to return during turtle hatching season to witness this incredible natural event.
The journey also included visits to Noosa, Bundaberg, glamping at Mon Repos, Yeppoon, Great Keppel Island, and Brisbane, making for an unforgettable Queensland adventure from start to finish.
