Kia ora whānau,

Feeling incredibly grateful as we bring out our April issue of I Love Rotorua Coffee Break News. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the continued love and support — for reading, sharing, staying in touch, and for trusting us to tell the stories that matter in our beautiful community.

It’s your encouragement and connection that keeps this little newspaper growing, and it truly means the world. Rotorua has such a special spirit, and it’s an honour to showcase the amazing people, inspiring journeys, and the wonderful community work happening all around us.

This April issue is especially close to my heart. Alongside our regular features, we have our annual wall planner — something I only do once a year — and our Women Empowerment feature, celebrating strength, grace, and the incredible achievements of women in our community.

Also, a bit of excitement for our local sports fans — don’t miss the big rugby clash between the Moana Pasifika and the Chiefs at the Rotorua International Stadium this Saturday, 11th April at 2:05 PM. It’s set to be a fantastic afternoon — tickets are available now via Ticketmaster.

Thank you once again for being part of this journey. Your support keeps local stories alive.

Ngā mihi nui,
Vishal

Kia ora whānau,

With our March edition of I Love Rotorua Coffee Break News out in the community, I just wanted to take a quiet moment to say a heartfelt thank you. Your ongoing support, encouragement, and aroha truly mean the world to us. This little newspaper is built on community spirit, and it simply wouldn’t be possible without each and every one of you.

It’s always a joy to share stories, celebrate local people, and bring our diverse cultures together in one space. As we move into this vibrant time of the year, we also acknowledge the beautiful Indian Festival of Colours – Holi. It’s a celebration of love, unity, and new beginnings, reminding us how colourfully connected our community really is.

We’re also excited to see everyone come together for the upcoming Holi celebration organised by BOPRIA on the 29th of March, from 11am to 3pm at Otonga Primary School. It promises to be a wonderful day filled with colour, laughter, and togetherness.

Thank you once again for your continued support, kindness, and belief in what we do. We are truly grateful.

Have a lovely day and take care,
Ngā mihi nui
Vishal

The Rotary Club’s Sunflower Spectacular blooms with purpose, raising vital funds to support the children’s unit at Rotorua Hospital.

A stunning sea of sunflowers has been planted on land at the end of Mansfield Road, just off Ōwhata Road, creating a golden backdrop filled with warmth and purpose.

Open to visitors from 10am to 4pm on the 21st and 22nd of February, this is a wonderful opportunity to gather with friends and whānau, soak in the beautiful sunflower vibe, and support a cause that truly makes a difference in our community.

Come along, enjoy the sunshine, take in the magic of the flowers, and support the little ones who need it most. 🌻

Rotorua, what a START to 2026! 🙌✨

The first edition of I Love Rotorua Coffee Break News this year featured the Honourable Prime Minister Christopher Luxon — such a privilege and a proud moment for our community newspaper.

And straight into our second edition, we had the absolute pleasure of highlighting one of our local legends, Gregg Brown from Capers Café & Pig N Whistle. Gregg, thank you for your incredible support.

This newspaper is truly built on community spirit. Each edition is locally printed and proudly distributed, and the support from local businesses and readers across Rotorua means more than words can say.

Here’s to strong local businesses, meaningful connections, and a phenomenal year ahead.

With love, respect and gratitude,
Vishal
