Family Annual Get together
Very suitable for our multi family group for ages 8 to 80. Plenty of activites eg spa, lawn space and small animal feeding. Nice sleeping rooms, lots of bathrooms. Multi person kitchen with all essentials.

Arias Farm King Room: 18-21 April 2025

Kerris and Chris are fantastic hosts. They made us feel welcome into their home in no time. The room was great, and had all the ammenities we could ask for. We would highly recommend staying with Kerris and Chris, and we will no doubt stay with them again when we next travel to Rotorua.

When we aren't so busy, we regularly take in "woofers" - the term originally meant Work On Organic Farms, but these days it simply means young travellers working for their room and board as they see NZ on a budget. These are our latest two - Freddie and Johanna - enjoying our family trip to Kerosene Creek, in return for cleaning out the chicken coop!

After-School Job : Farm Feeding

We are a cute lifestyle block with a B&B, three holiday homes, and farm animals. We are looking for another after-school student 2-4 days per week, to assist/work in with our current student doing the other days. This involves daily evening feed-outs on the farm 3:30pm-5pm, plus occasional weekend maintenance work. Suit a 15yr+ high school student in the Western Heights/Pukehangi area, or who has transport from further afield. Evening feedings include preparing feeds, carrying full buckets, feeding & watering various animals, collecting eggs, cleaning out pens, moving stock, advising of any issues etc. Weekend work (upon availability) could include weeding, hedge trimming, painting, fence repairs, gardening, or a variety of other farm/grounds work. No experience necessary as full training will be provided over the first two months, then feed-outs will be sole charge. A reasonably strong body (female or male), good with hands, and an interest in animals is essential. You will need to be reliable, honest, have no drug or gang affiliations, a cellphone for communication, and transport even in wet/dark weather.

Perks? Great people to work for. We’re flexible if you have other urgent matters. Free farm eggs and vegetables are sometimes available.
