Great news for regional travellers – Barrier Air has announced a new route: Auckland - Kerikeri.

Starting August 4, 2024, Barrier Air will operate 22 flights a week between KKE and AKL on their new late-model Cessna Grand Caravan 208, providing you with more connectivity to Northland!

The - The Far North is open! There are 3 ways to head North to us in Kerikeri - or for that matter if you are heading South - see the map below - routes A and B only add 20 minutes (ish) to your journey... remember how life was before the Puhoi to Warkworth Highway was opened? Well theoretically we are back to that... see that's not so bad is it? Don't change your plans!

Please help us get the word out is not as bad as people would have you believe - yes you can stop and take your time - but realistically the journey is marginally different now compared to last week, go the coastal route and you gain some spectacular views...

Rā o Waitangi!

Paihia streets are flooded with people today in celebration of Waitangi Day! Waitangi Day has been a significant day on New Zealand’s calendar since the Treaty of Waitangi was first signed in 1840. Make the most of your day by popping up to the treaty grounds and engaging in the 150 market stalls offering an amazing array of art and crafts, clothing and a wide variety of food options!

Pictured is Ngātokimatawhaorua the world's largest ceremonial waka, while our company "wakas" are a little more modernised these days, seeing this waka out annually on the 6th of February every year is spectacular and humbling, especially when it can take upto 80 paddlers and over 50 passengers! no horse power like us! just pure man power 💪 💙
