Yes it is winter but you can still enjoy the outdoors here in Central Taranaki.
Even better our homestay has a large deep outdoor bath to soak in but wait there's more, the bath has infinity hot water, so no guilt about using all the hot water.
We are within 25kms of a beautiful waterfall and 2 lakes.

Bit of Eastern Taranaki Experience history. One of our first brochures. This was the only multi day trip we offered at the time, 2001-2002.
Advertising budget so minimal that we could only afford 2 colours for printing - black and blue. The funny thing was it actually stood out on an information centre rack amongst all the coloured ones 🤣

Leaving a lovely Hawkes Bay day behind. Traveling back home with a Dave and Carol twist to stop at A'Deane Reserve, a 1km walk featuring a 34m Totara tree and impressive Kahikatea trees, within a lovely and well-maintained bush area.

3-day mini tour to Napier with a small group. Yesterday, we journeyed from Taranaki to Napier via the newly opened highway over the Manawatu Gorge. Our visit coincided with the Aquarium's feeding time, which we attended. Today, we embarked on the Glenbrook Vintage Railway trip from Napier to Woodville and return. The staff and volunteers provided exceptional hosting, making for a highly enjoyable day.
