You are still welcome to call us to make bookings outside of these hours, however our shop will be closed for purchases once closing time has passed. Please don’t be offended if one of our staff members lets you know the shop is closed — we are simply operating on reduced winter hours.

We’re proud to share that we now have a Waikato University graduate on our team!

Congratulations to Nicole on this amazing achievement and all the hard work behind it. Nicole has graduated with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Marketing and Human Resource Management. You may see her in the office or around the camp putting those skills into action!

We’re incredibly proud of her and can’t wait to see her knowledge and ideas continue to make a positive impact at Tapu Camp 👏

🌸🐣 Easter Weekend at Tapu Camp 🐣🌸

Throwback to an awesome Easter weekend here at Tapu Camp! We had a wide range of events and activities running for our guests, including Easter egg hunts, our fishing competition, Easter egg sticker hunts, colouring-in competitions, raffles, and even a movie night 🎣🍿

It was great to see so many families getting involved and making the most of everything on offer.

We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who continues to support our events — they wouldn’t be possible without you.

We think it’s fair to say Easter weekend was a real hit with our guests this year, and we’re looking forward to seeing it grow even more in the years to come!

🎣 Tapu Camp Easter Fishing Competition Wrap-Up 🎣

What an incredible weekend we had at our Easter Fishing Competition! We officially wrapped up the event on 5 April, and it was amazing to see such a strong turnout from our community.

This year, we had 109 participants — a huge jump from our very first competition in 2024, where we had just over 40 entrants. It’s awesome to see the event growing each year!

Thanks to everyone involved, we were also able to raise $1,920 through raffles and fish auctions. These funds will go towards supporting the Tapu Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Tapu Community Hall - two very important parts of our community 👏

One of our main goals is to get kids outdoors and involved, and this year we made sure every child who entered received a prize, whether it was a main prize or a spot prize. The smiles said it all!

A massive thank you to all of our sponsors - we couldn’t run this event the way we do without your support.
