FAQ’S PART TWO: WHAT TO EXPECT
This is the second in a series of FAQ posts, covering some of the questions people often ask before booking.
These questions are about what the holiday feels like once you're there, including:
✳️ Whether you need to be an artist
✳️ What established artists will get from the retreat
✳️ What a typical day looks like
✳️ How much free time you get
✳️ Why Aegina is so special
✳️ Why September is such a lovely time to go
This is not a packed itinerary or a holiday where every minute is spoken for. It is eight days on a Greek island where local life still shapes the feel of the place. Aegina is a functioning community, not a seasonal resort. You might start the day with yoga, a swim, or breakfast by the water, spend time painting or sketching, head out to an archaeological site or village streets, then leave the afternoon open for shopping, reading, swimming, or relaxing on the beach.
The creative side is part of what makes this holiday different. If you have never painted before, that's part of the fun - you get to try something new and take home something you have made yourself. For established artists, Aegina’s light, colour relationships, structure, and visual contrasts interrupt familiar habits and create a perceptual shift.
The retreat is designed to give you a real mix of experiences, along with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the island.
‼️ The early bird offer of NZ$500 (US$300, UK£220) has been extended to the end of March.
